Safe online monitoring system SOMS solution for rapid detection of copper in children's hair and food

In this paper, the color reaction of a complex formed between copper and 5-bromosalicylfluorone (5-BrSAF) in the presence of the surfactant Tween-80 was studied. The apparent molar absorptivity of the complex measured in pH 6.5 disodium hydrogen phosphate-sodium dihydrogen phosphate buffer solution is 1.18X10-5L / mol / cm, and the linear range is 0 ～ 7μg Cu / 25ml. This method has been used to directly determine trace copper in children's hair and food in the presence of ascorbic acid. The method is stable and fast with satisfactory results.
