Bessie Launches Fifth Generation Ultra Large Format UV-Setter

BasysPrint, a subsidiary of Punch International Group, has introduced the fifth-generation wide-format, super large-format UV-Setter CTP platemaking system. The biggest feature of the new product is that the imaging speed far exceeds the previously introduced models.

The key to this kind of progress is DSI technology, Digital Screen Imaging Technology (DSI). The further optimized DSI technology, combined with a more stable imaging system, makes the new generation of products more reliable.

As with previous generations of products, the new UV-Setter also uses a traditional plate, but the light source used in the new product is a combination of a violet laser diode generator and a traditional basysPrint exposure head. That is, in addition to the conventional exposure head, a number of violet laser generators have been added. An energy compensation system collects the energy of the violet laser and transmits it to the DMD through an optical filter. Therefore, the new system greatly increases the exposure speed.

The new generation of UV-Setter includes 11 types 15 and 16 three models, the maximum exposure area of 1375 × 2050mm, 1535 × 2100mm and 1535 × 3170mm. The new products are available in manual and semi-automatic versions. They are compatible with all workflow systems currently on the market.

At present, the first fifth-generation UV-Setter system has been installed at the user. The official debut of this product is at the Graph Expo in the United States.
