However, the conventional UV light source is generally a high-pressure mercury lamp and a metal halide lamp, which causes problems such as high energy consumption, large heat generation, and ozone, which has some adverse effects on the development of the UV number ink. With the development of technology, more environmentally friendly UV-LED light sources have emerged in recent years, providing new opportunities for UV number inks. China Print 2013, RYOBI Supporting the printing press to the UV-LED curing device. 1.UV-LED curing device The UV-LED curing device that emits light in the near-ultraviolet band is used in the printing field to replace a curing device such as a mercury lamp, a halogen lamp, or a sodium lamp. The illumination source of the UV-LED curing device used on the offset press consists of a row of high output illuminating UV-LED lamps and micro-assemblies arranged without gaps. At present, the UV-LED lamp has a weaker illumination intensity than the conventional UV lamp, and the irradiation distance is short. The traditional UV lamp illumination distance is 150-300 mm, while the UV-LED lamp illumination distance is about 15 mm. Therefore, the UV-LED curing device illuminates the light source to a much smaller distance from the surface of the substrate. Generally, the distance of the conventional UV lamp from the surface of the substrate is 100 to 150 mm, and the distance between the illumination source of the UV-LED curing device and the surface of the substrate is within 10 mm. 2. Advantages of UV-LED curing device (1) The ink can be solidified instantaneously; (2) It does not produce ozone, it does not need to be equipped with an exhaust pipe, which is beneficial to environmental protection; (3) The accessory equipment is small and compact; (4) The UV-LED lamp has a long service life (it is a traditional UV lamp) 10 times or more), less heat, can be ignited or extinguished instantly, no need for preheating and cooling balance, only turn on the light during printing, low power consumption (only 1/9 of traditional UV lamps), economical, and due to UV - The LED curing device generates less heat, prevents deformation of the non-heat-resistant substrate, does not cause the paper to lose moisture, causes deformation, does not change the texture, and does not generate static electricity.
