The causes of inkjet printer head clogging can be divided into soft head plugs and hard head plugs. Most of them are large particles in the ink, which are stuck in the nozzle. It may also be that the printer has not been used for a long time, and the ink is dry in the nozzle. Or different inks are mixed with each other to produce a chemical reaction.

Treatment of the soft plug of the nozzle:

Soft plugging refers to a wire breakage caused by the increased viscosity of the ink on the nozzle due to various reasons. Sometimes it is only attached to the surface of the nozzle of the ink outlet, and it can be recovered after multiple cleanings with the original ink tank, but this method is more wasteful of ink.

(1) Press the cleaning button to clean. As mentioned earlier, the cleaning process of each machine is not exactly the same, but generally has this function. Or use the print head cleaning function in the printer driver application tool to clean. The cleaning of the above two steps is generally not more than three times. No matter how many times it is cleaned, it is not necessarily useful, and a lot of ink is wasted.

(2) However, it should also be noted that due to the air resistance phenomenon between the ink cartridge (filled with sponge) and the print head, a small amount of irregular disconnection will occur. In this case, it is not necessary to repeatedly clean it. It can be completely normal.


(3) If the above method still can not solve the problem, comrades who are relatively experienced in printer maintenance can remove the nozzle and the nozzle is up, find an object to support the print head, so that the surface of the print head is horizontal to the ground. The ultrasonic cleaners on the market now do have a good effect. Before using the ultrasonic cleaner, proceed as described above. The main purpose is to make the crystals in the nozzle relatively soft and achieve better results. But there are still some problems to remind everyone here. For general users who have relatively little knowledge of printers, removing the print head will invisibly increase the risk. Especially for some newer EPSON machines, it is more difficult to disassemble. Is there a better way to solve the problem of plugging? Yes.

1. Some people proposed to remove the ink cart, directly add boiling water to the ink absorption pad, restore the ink cart, turn on the machine and perform a cleaning after two hours, to see if it is OK, do not worry about damaging the machine if the water leaks. This method has some unique insights. I also use this method to repair many older printers. The specific reason is that the printer has not been used for a long time, the rubber around the ink absorption pad is dry and cracked, and the nozzle can not be completely sealed around the ink absorption process, resulting in air leakage. The ink cannot be absorbed correctly, causing the print head to fail to print colors or individual colors.

At this time, we only need to drip full water on the ink absorbing pad to allow the rubber around the ink absorbing pad to fully absorb water, and some faults can be eliminated. As mentioned above, don't worry about damage to the machine. This is mainly to prevent water from splashing on the printer head circuit board. But I disagree with boiling water. On the one hand, the higher boiling water temperature accelerates the aging process of rubber. High temperature does not necessarily have a good dredging effect on the condensed ink, but it does have a certain auxiliary effect. The main effect on dredging is still water. Can we replace it with warm water? After being diluted, the clear solution dripped on the ink absorption pad, which can also clear the nozzle, and it is faster and more effective. However, the above method only has a relatively good effect on the crystal plug on the surface of the nozzle outlet. For the crystallization inside the nozzle, especially the high-density filter inside the nozzle, there is no big effect.

2. How should we deal with the internal crystallized spray head? Generally, we can use a syringe and a rubber tube to directly sleeve on the ink absorption column of the print head. Add about 1 ml of cleaning solution to the syringe and push gently. At this time, we can hold a piece of printing paper under the nozzle, and the waste ink will be absorbed by the printing paper, so that it will not be filled with ink everywhere. Now there are some sponge-free ink cartridges from manufacturers, which have better help for cleaning nozzles. We only need to dilute the special cleaning solution according to the proportion and add it to the sponge-free ink cartridge. Of course, you can also add some ink to the cleaning solution, and you can see the cleaning results through the test strip while cleaning.

Regarding the unclogging of the print head, we can't get 100% of it done. We can fix 80% to 90%. I believe that even EPSON cannot do 100%. Therefore, according to the correct method, to ensure that it can be used again is the key to our cleaning.
