On May 12th, Great Wall Network Baoding hosted a special event called “Nostalgia of Childhood.†The Chengyi Mobile Museum in Baoding launched an exhibition featuring over 500 old toys from different eras, bringing back cherished memories. From frog-jumping games to match chain guns, black cat sheriff puzzles, and more, the fair was free and open to the public.
The exhibition centered around old toys, with life scenes and educational items as supporting exhibits. It included items like the scorpion toy that once listened to bedtime stories, primary school notebooks filled with drawings, and faded black-and-white photos. Each object evoked a sense of nostalgia and connection to the past.
According to the museum director, all the exhibits came from real-life collections of a Baoding family spanning over 100 years. The museum aims to share these collections with the community, countryside, and schools, making culture accessible and building bridges through shared memories. This initiative not only preserves history but also strengthens connections among people through the power of play and nostalgia.
