Secto Design at the Finnish Embassy in London

One of the most memorable experiences from last autumn was participating in the Finnish Design Embassy, a unique initiative aimed at promoting Finnish businesses internationally. This one-year project was meticulously curated to help companies like ours extend their reach globally, and it was an incredible chance for us to continue our mission of sharing Finnish design with the world.

Secto Design has always strived to bring a touch of Finnish creativity beyond our borders, and being part of this project allowed us to do just that. The event took place at the Finnish ambassador's private residence in Kensington Palace Gardens, offering a stunning backdrop for showcasing our products. We were honored to host an intimate gathering of London-based interior designers, who were treated to a special evening filled with elegance and inspiration.

Secto Design lamps were the stars of the evening, drawing admiration from all who attended.

The evening began with a delightful welcome reception where guests explored the residence, marveling at our lamps strategically placed throughout the space. Their versatility was evident as they seamlessly blended into the traditional decor, highlighting the timeless elegance of our Scandinavian design collection. Over dinner, Joakim Jusélius, one of our co-owners, shared the story of Secto Design and our commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability. His heartfelt speech resonated deeply with the audience, emphasizing our dedication to staying true to our roots while embracing innovation.

Although our designer, Seppo Koho, couldn’t join us personally, we were thrilled to have Ilkka Suppanen present. Ilkka provided insightful commentary on Seppo’s work, offering guests a deeper understanding of the philosophy behind his designs. His presence added another layer of richness to the evening, connecting attendees with the creative vision behind our collection.

As the night unfolded, it became clear that meaningful connections were forged. We left feeling incredibly proud to be part of such a meaningful initiative, which highlights Finland as a hub of innovation and sustainable creativity.
