Impede the drawbacks of newspaper copying and imposition process dataization

Although many newspaper printing companies already use CTP systems, due to the high cost of CTP equipment and high cost of plate materials, not all newspapers use CTP plates. Conventional manual imposition and printing processes still dominate the mainstream.

The standardization and dataization of the imposition are relatively easy to realize. Only the standard imposition coordinates (table paper) are drawn, and the imposition staff can construct according to the sample. However, for printing, the amount of tasks over time is super-saturated. In order to ensure timeliness, the shop had to sacrifice the quality of its cost. On the one hand, it prolonged the exposure time and achieved the purpose of removing dirt; on the other hand, it increased the concentration of the developer and accelerated the development to increase the production speed. Therefore, after the printing, the small outlets were seriously lost. The outlets below 5% of the outlets did not come out. As a result, many high-light areas of the printing area appeared large-scale net exclusion areas, which affected the quality of newspaper graphic printing.

In fact, the standardization and dataization of the printing plate is relatively easy to implement. As long as the standard exposure time and development time are determined, the production staff will strictly follow the requirements, and there will definitely be no problem.

However, many newspaper printing companies often have insufficient equipment because of their centralized tasks. To completely realize the standardization and dataization of printing plates, it is necessary to increase plate-making equipment and operating personnel. This is an urgent problem that most newspaper printing companies need to solve. Nowadays, many newspaper printing companies pay special attention to the investment of printing equipment and the training of printing talents, but they are unwilling to invest more in the reform of platemaking equipment and the introduction of plate-making talents. Over time, a situation of “excessive printing capacity and insufficient platemaking capacity” has emerged. Therefore, even if the printing equipment is advanced, it will eventually fail to obtain high quality newspaper prints.
