Objects Of Nature: A New Capsule By Covet Collection and PTang Studio

PTang Studio has collaborated with Covet Collection Design Editions to create a sleek, minimalist set of pieces that perfectly aligns with a modern aesthetic. Each item in the collection features simple, recognizable shapes where ergonomics meets design, creating an intuitive connection between the object and its user. Inspired by the natural forms and textures found in the environment, the living series capsule was designed to reflect the beauty of nature, with Henges playing a central role. These stone or timber circles are a unifying element throughout the collection, drawing inspiration from one of the world's most iconic historical landmarks — Stonehenge.

The collection also incorporates subtle Japanese elements, such as the Tome-Ishi, small stones used in Zen gardens, adding a touch of sophistication and elevating the collection to a new level of exclusivity and uniqueness. With a deep respect for nature and the Earth, the Stonehenge Capsule Collection becomes a stunning contemporary curation through its simple forms and natural tones.

Sarsen Stool

This small piece of the Sarsen family is subtly elegant yet distinctive in its modern design. It uses textiles that mimic the colors of stone, with a clean and streamlined look that brings a minimalistic appeal. The textured boucle upholstery adds a refined detail, while the granite stone accent gives it a luxurious feel, inspired by the ancient Sarsen stones of Stonehenge.

Heel Stone Dining Table

The Heel Stone is positioned near the Sarsen Circle at Stonehenge, known for its highly textured surface and unique shape. The dining table features three carved hardwood legs that taper similarly to the Heel Stone, finished in a three-color scheme that mimics the changing light on the stone throughout the year. The dove white marble top reflects the shape and color of the famous stone, while the granite stone adds a luxurious touch, making this table a standout piece for any dining space.

Bluestone II Dining Chair

The term "bluestone" refers to non-intrinsic stones at Stonehenge. This chair’s irregular hardwood feet and back resemble the monument’s natural elements. Constructed from lacquered hardwood with amobe-bluette stain varnish legs that extend into armrests and a backrest, it features a soft, comfortable seat in friset bouclé fabric, blending functionality with elegance.

Sarsen Modular Sofa

Sarsen stones are sandstone blocks found in the UK, famously used in Stonehenge. Inspired by their placement in the monument, this modular sofa features two distinct cushions for the seat and backrest. The textured boucle upholstery and natural hues give it a modern, minimal look, while the granite stone adds a luxurious finish.

Dovedale Console

This console features a central granite stone, offering a refined and elegant look. Inspired by the Stepping Stone, the wooden base has a natural appearance with varying levels and colors, while the lacquered top and drawer use a modern square shape. An essential addition to any room.

Cairn Modular Cabinet

Cairn means “heap of stones” in Scots Gaelic and represents an ancient form of markers. This collection draws inspiration from that idea, featuring different shaped modules made with lacquered hardwood and a textured front and doors that mimic the look of stone. Like other items in the collection, it includes a granite stone for a luxurious finishing touch.

Dovedale Center Table

The Dovedale Stepping Stones are a beautiful feature in the Peak District. This center table features two carved hardwood legs and a tempered glass top with a granite stone, creating a modern and stylish coffee table.
